There are common characteristics that we call Type E that go beyond personality to mindset, skills and lifestyle choices that we found across most entrepreneurs, leaders and go-getters; but these qualities can also be seen with actors, politicians, writers, entertainers, and local leaders. You can use these Type E characteristics to start and build anything, make anything happen in your life, from a really positive, creative and enjoyable place.
They work hard, very hard, but prioritize freedom, they see much value in the freedom of the Type E lifestyle, the freedom to go to yoga in the middle of the day, to work from a mountain top or beach, to take their child to the doctor without asking permission, they hate to ask permission. These people often do not do very well in a structured corporate environment, they might feel as if they have authority issues. The reality is often that they have so much creativity and enthusiasm that they feel constricted in a corporate environment, they are threatening to others who like to play by the rules. Rules, they hate rules, they crave creativity and are always challenging themselves. They fail, but they don't let that stop them, they pick themselves up, take responsibility, learn and move on. You'll see them building things, they thrive and receive great joy building and creating and even when they "make it" they don't stop. In fact, you always want to see what they are going to do next because you know it is going to be new and fresh and you'll want to be involved. Type E have a higher tolerance for risk and at the same time higher self-esteem, they risk more because they believe in their ability to solve problems, "make it happen," and "figure it out." Another way to identify a Type E is that they are having a fun and adventurous life, it isn't necessarily an easy life, but it would definitely make a really great biography.
Everyone has aspects of Type E, but many of the Type E characteristics can be developed and nurtured simply by venturing forth on projects, nurturing ideas and taking your first entrepreneurial steps.

What is a Type E or Type Entrepreneur?
Type E individuals can sometimes be mistaken for type A, but in many cases it isn't just about achieving for the sake of achievement, working harder than anyone else to prove anything to themselves or others, it is about building things that are sustainable, pursuing a passion, creating a great lifestyle and running your own show.
